CSCI User Conference
The Pollen Shop provided the inclusive communication support for the Commission for Social Care Inspection’s User conference.
The conference held in Birmingham was designed to get feedback from residents of care and nursing homes on how the CSCI communicated with them. Many of the participants were people with learning impairments or older people who had communication impairments.
In partnership with CSCI staff The Pollen Shop developed a conference programme which would enable all the participants to take part. This used a mixture of formal sessions together with less structured opportunities such as video for people to have there say.
As well as providing access consultancy The Pollen Shop also provided general conference management services such registration procedures.
The Pollen Shop will be providing written reports for participants and CSCI.
